Natural Beauty of Wood
The wood used to produce these blinds have many natural characteristics that make it truly one of a kind. The following are natural characteristics and are not considered defects. Grain – the direction, size and appearance of wood fibers can vary greatly depending on where the wood is cut within the tree. Tiger Striping – occurs when a tree develops wavy grain, due to genetics, soil contentor other natural scenarios. Burl – formed from an irregular growth on the outer edge of the tree. Bird’s Eye – small area on the surface of the board where fibers are contorted to form a circular figure that resembles a bird’s eye. Pine Knots – vary in size, shape, structure and color. Mineral Marks – dark or discolored areas caused by minerals which the tree extracts from the water or soil can be either a streak or a stain, usually blackish blue in color. These markings in no way effectthe durability or the structural integrity of the blind. Natural variations in color and grain are inherent in the beauty of wood. These variations are within established industry guidelines and should be expected. Blinds may stain slightly darker or lighter than the swatches shown in sampling.

Round down to the nearest 1/8" for width
Round up to the nearest 1/8" for height

On any measurement given, the factory does have a +/- 1/8 of an inch variance allowance.
Measure For Wood or Faux Wood Blinds
Inside Mount Width
• Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
• Take the smallest of the three measurements to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.
• The factory will take an approximate 1/2 of an inch deduction from the total width to a lot for brackets and correct installation.
Inside Mount Height
• Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three spots across window.
• Take the largest of the three measurements.
Outside Mount Width
• Measure the exact width (left to right) of the wooden or metal window frame (outer edge) OR how wide you want the product to be.
• Be sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window plus offer enough coverage to avoid light or privacy gap. 2 inches past the opening on EACH side is suggested if you do not have molding/trim.
• An Outside Valance with returns will be wider than the ordered width to accommodate covering the headrail and mount.
Outside Mount Height
• Measure the top and bottom edge of window frame/trim. If no trim, be sure you provide the height you want the shade to be from top of the headrail to bottom of the bottom rail.
• Be sure to allot for coverage for light control and mounting hardware if mounting above window opening to wall surface. You will need 2 inches of surface area to mount above opening. Call us for further instruction if needed.
Installation Instructions
Shipping fees are included in most products online. The exceptions are Norm Brand and freight sizes. Shipping fees will be seen prior to completing your order in the shopping cart. There may be freight exceptions depending on the quantity of freight items on the order. All vendors have different freight policies. You may receive an email or phone call in the unusual circumstance where additional charges apply.
Hawaii and Alaska Deliveries: Surcharges are online and will apply to your order for most products shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. There are some cases with larger orders where you may get a call from us with additional charges for orders shipping here.

Most custom products take approximately 2-3 weeks from ordering to delivery. Our Quick Ship brand products usually ship within 5-7 business days depending on the current supply and demand of the product. Woven Wood/Natural Shade products run 3-4 weeks for delivery as there are natural materials used to make these shades. The North American Shutter collection is on a 4-5 week timeframe for delivery. ALL other standard Shutter collections are taking 8-10 weeks for delivery.
Exceptions:
Freight items over 80 inches will take a few days longer to arrive as they ship by freight handlers. There are always exceptions if there are material shortages, production delays or during holidays. We do try and note material shortages on the product info pages if vendors notify us ahead of time.
