INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -PLEASE READ PRIOR TO ORDERING
General Measuring:
Measuring and installing shutters is more involved than blinds or shades. It is important to have a solid understanding of the shutter options and designs to know what will work best for your application. Consumers who choose to order online are 100% responsible for how they order their online shutters. As with all custom products, this product is NOT returnable. If you are unsure about measuring or installing this product, we suggest seeking a local retailer to assist with your project.
Direct Mount (Inside Mount) is the simple to measure for. Measure exact inside width and height rounding down to nearest 1/16". If installing Inside Mount, be sure your window opening is SQUARE. ID the window is off by more than 1/8", it is not suggested to install as Inside Mount.
There are depth requirements for Inside mount shutter installation. A minimum of 2 full uninterrupted depth minimum is best. This means free of latches, handles, etc.
For Direct Inside Mount, (no frame) Here are the general louver requirements:
For a 2.5 inch louver You will need 2" depth
For 3" inch louver You will need 2 3/8" depth
For 4" louver You will need 2 7/8" depth
For Outside Mount, You will need to choose a frame. We suggest ordering frame to frame size with Deco frames and Outside Moutn with window opening sizes for Z frames. It is up tot the consumer to research and be well versed o n the frame options and sizes needed for frames. All of that information is shown in schematic picture of all the frames.

IMPORTANT: Split Tilt needs to be measured from the bottom of the shutter up to where you prefer the controls to be split. If this is not provided, we will assume you are choosing split tilt evenly/center.
Divider rail needs to also be measured from the bottom of the shutter up to where you prefer or we will assume to evenly distibute at the center. All split or divides do vary by the design of your chosen shutter. The splits/divides can be off slightly from your requested measurement.

Shipping fees are included in most products online. The exceptions are Norm Brand and freight sizes. Shipping fees will be seen prior to completing your order in the shopping cart. There may be freight exceptions depending on the quantity of freight items on the order. All vendors have different freight policies. You may receive an email or phone call in the unusual circumstance where additional charges apply.
Hawaii and Alaska Deliveries: Surcharges are online and will apply to your order for most products shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. There are some cases with larger orders where you may get a call from us with additional charges for orders shipping here.

Most custom products take approximately 2-3 weeks from ordering to delivery. Our Quick Ship brand products usually ship within 5-7 business days depending on the current supply and demand of the product. Woven Wood/Natural Shade products run 3-4 weeks for delivery as there are natural materials used to make these shades. The North American Shutter collection is on a 4-5 week timeframe for delivery. ALL other standard Shutter collections are taking 8-10 weeks for delivery.
Exceptions:
Freight items over 80 inches will take a few days longer to arrive as they ship by freight handlers. There are always exceptions if there are material shortages, production delays or during holidays. We do try and note material shortages on the product info pages if vendors notify us ahead of time.

First of all when I had questions regarding measurement the customer service rep was excellent in explaining the proper way to measure for outside mount. Shutter came in sooner than expected, quality was excellent. There was one small area of damage on one of the panels from shipping. Customer service rep was able to get a replacement with no issues. Customer service reps respond quickly and are extremely helpful. Best customer service experience I have had in dealing with online merchants.
